Technical data shee t SQUASH COURT PAINT- FINISH COAT

Brief Description.

A very hard wearing surface coating intended for use on squash court walls. The coating has low glare properties and is non powdery making it ideal for this application. It has excellent adhesion and opacity. For best results, this product should be used on surfaces pre-prepared with Regional Squash Court Primer/Undercoat.

Properties.

Squash Court Paint – Finish Coat is a water thinnable paint based on a very durable acrylic resin system. Compared to conventional oil based systems, it has very low odour and is quick drying.

Surface Preparation.

Great attention should be paid to correct surface preparation as this is the single most important step in the painting sequence. Ideally, wall surfaces should be prepared using Regional Squash Court Primer/Undercoat applied as per instructions - if however painting directly on to previously applied finish coats :Shiny surfaces should be well abraded to give a good key. Wall surfaces should be carefully washed and sanded to remove any ball marks as if left, these will affect final adhesion. Loose or flaking materials must be removed. Surfaces must be clean, dry and sound before application of Regional Squash Court – Finish Coat

Coverage rate.

Coverage is dependent upon surface condition. Typically, 5 litres will cove r between 50 and 75 square metres . Two full coats should be applied after initial preparation for maximu m durability .

Methods of Application . By brush, roller or Airless spray . Brush. Apply without thinning . Roller. A shortpile roller would normally be recommended (Mohair o r

similar). Thinning would not normally be necessary.

Airless Spray . Equipment and application conditions dependent. Thinning is not recommended.

Drying Tim e

The product would normally be touch dry in 30minutes- 2 hours. Under norma l drying conditions, Regional Squash Court Paint – Finish coat will be hard dr y in 4-5 hours .

Colour availabilit y

Available in white only .

Cleaning of Equipment .

Remove as much paint as possible from equipment before washing . Wash brushes, rollers and spray equipment in warm soapy water immediatel y after use .

Safety Precautions .

Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Wear suitable face mas k when spraying. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of accidental contac t with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advic e if irritation persists. Storage.

Protect from frost. Store upright in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Replace lid firmly after use.

Expected Product Service Life

2 years under normal conditions of use. Surface cleaning should not be carried out with harsh alkaline detergents as some of these could damage the surface finish. If cleaning is required, warm soapy water is recommended.

Disposal.
