Brief Description .

A hard wearing surface coating intended for use on squash court walls. Th e coating has anti-glare properties making it ideal for this application. It ha s excellent adhesion and opacity .

Properties .

An oil based paint, based on a long oil alkyd resin. The flash point being abov e 32 ° C. Thinning, when required, should be with white spirit .

Surface Preparation .

Gloss surfaces should be well abraded to give a good key. Wall surfaces shoul d be carefully sanded to remove any ball marks as if left, these will affect fina l adhesion. Loose or flaking materials must be removed . On new or previously untreated surfaces, a primer coat or a thinned coat of oi l based squash court undercoat (with 10-15% white spirit) should first be applie d to act as a sealer coat. This sealer coat should be allowed to dry thoroughly .

Coverage rate .

Coverage is dependent upon surface condition. Typically, 5 litres will cove r between 50 and 75 square metres . A minimum of two coats should be applied after initial preparation .

Methods of Application .

By brush, roller or Airless spray .

Brush . Apply without thinning .

Roller . A shortpile roller would normally be recommended (Mohair or similar). Thinning would not normally be necessary.

Airless Spray . Equipment and application conditions dependent. Thinning is not recommended. Spray tip Diameter 0.28mm – 0.32mm (~12 thou) Spray tip angle 50 ° -70 ° Min working pressure ~2000 psi

Drying Time

The product would normally be touch dry in 2 – 2.5 hours. Hard dry in 4- 5 hours. The product will be recoatable overnight . Cleaning of Equipment . Wash brushes, rollers and spray equipment in a proprietary brush cleaner o r
